I started doing Physical Training (PT) again today. Hopefully, they will offer it on a more regular basis, and i can get off my lazy but at home and even do a little workout around here. I hope to do the basics at home (sit-ups, push ups, jumping jacks, mtn. climbers, etc) along with running (which for some god awful reason i stopped doing. And doing the more intense stuff there with the trainers.

What do you do to workout / stay in shape?

I really want to put together a workout routine (and maybe actually follow through). I always start and then quit a few weeks in :'[
I know that it takes 30 days to form a habit, so my goal is to work out 30 days straight in order to establish a routine.

siiigh good luck to me =/

I know its so hard to keep at it! I always start and end up stopping ,even though i really know i need to keep going. :/

It's horrible! Especially, if you miss one day and the it just snowballs into a week.
Next thing you know, you're watching tv instead :'[

Well, your also 15 :p Your metabolism will slow down as you get older, so it's good to have a workout routine that will give it a kick start everyday.
Plus, there's a difference between being "skinny" and being "fit" and I, personally, want to be fit :p

What do you do to workout / stay in shape?I try to practise chinups but I really have to try harder. I'd like to try that other stuff you mentioned, but I feel like I'm doing it to avoid chinups since they're so hard. But maybe they would help to burn some body fat to make doing them easier do to less bodyweight.

On and off. Playing sports counts right?

I don't really, I'm not unfit, I walk regularly for long distances, and am able to jog 5 miles without too much bother. If my fitness began to become an issue I would.

I work out every other day, it helps me have time to rest, and time to stay healthy and stay in shape for sports.
I play soccer and im a goalie, so it is better for me to lift weights, run, do pushups, sit-ups, and sometimes i just go out and practice goalie, (punting, diving, ect.) so i can get it right in the game
I push-up and sit-up with my brother cause he can help me when needed
Me and my bro and my dad go out and practice my goalie, and sometimes i practice private lessons with my coach
Lifting weights i do with the rest of the team
and i run with my team and by myself
I hope this helped you to maybe help you out in future.....or maybe for a relative

A couple friends and I started doing P90X a little while ago, and it's been pretty effective. Though we've since tailored it a bit to make it work better. But, I've put on about 10 pounds of muscle since I started it, and it seems to be getting more effective now that I'm in better shape and thus able to do more, and more intensely.

It's a pretty good system (though not perfect; nothing is unless you go out of the way to make a custom routine and do all the necessary research), so I recommend it if anyone wants to try it. Though it's by no means easy, so you have to be able to stick with it.

I have a very fats metabolism as well, but working out helps you get muscle weight... Just because you're skinny doesnt mean you dont need to be in shape.
