Do you think this type of thing should happen?

I don't like it one bit. The way I see it, the government basically bought their 60th vote by offering Nebraska senator Nelson to make Nebraska exempt from having to pay the taxes on the proposed health care bill going through congress now.

I don't like anything to do with the new helthcare bill. Now I know thats going to sound self centered, not wanting to help the 'less fortunate' but when Obama said he was going to help the people put of work he bailed out the banks who in turn gave their employees bonuses and gave the people out of work less than 20% of the whole bailout. I don't think the helthcare change will help much.

If only people would let Obama do it the proper way like he wanted :D

A socialized healthcare that DOESN'T have to jump through hoops to be accepted by the people of the country. That is currently impossible, as everyone seems to have a bitchfest against it :)

He's had to change his stance and implementation strategy severely, and its morphed into a monster that not even I would support. Its very very sad, and people are going to receive an end result that is EVEN worse than what they were originally upset about. Haha, isn't that sad?

Oh well, at least the U.S. might make it into the top ten on the list of best places to live now. :P

Sad.

I personally don't think that a healthcare run by the goverment will work. It would give every family a set amount per person when some families, such as mine, would need more than others because we/they have handicapped people in their family.

Plenty of other countries have successful healthcare systems that deal with problems like this. Not every person claims an equal amount from the NHS, there are benefits in place to try and help those who are handicapped.

Its proven that countries with socialized health care are spending less. Yes, your government is ALREADY having to spend more than it should on privatized health care.

BTW, you can;t just say it doesn't work when its proven to. Proven.

Ok, that point just flipped my mindset around. Jason you have done what not many manage to ever do:p I agree that the goverment does spend way to much on alot of things, so I think I'll wait and see what happens
