The best
The best to me is vBulletin simply as it is very powerful and easy to use it however is not that easy if you are new to the tech stuff that takes some getting used to but after that you are fine. It also boasts a huge support community which is a great help

The worst
The worst to me is Vanilla it simply horrid however that could be as it has not came very far in the last few years and in my eyes cant seem to compete with the bigger softwares like for instance PHPBB.

Your Favorite
This is an easy choice for me as it is the best software for and tech admin (me)
MyBB is my favorite and I think in a few years it will be competing with the likes of IPB and vBulletin, mind you its starting to look like with the beta release of vB 4.0 that alot are swapping to MyBB as it is similar to vB 3.X
and the number of people swapping is increasing and no doubt increase further when 4.0 is released as a stable version

Here's the "Resident tech idiot's" opinion, Robbie, FWIW. I think the *Best* software is the software that's completely invisible and seamless to the users. For those technicaly challenged like myself, that means simple, easy to comprehend and use, and fast. Something that I don't have to think about or understand or learn, something that's efficient and doesn't need to make a statement. Like a really smooth automatic transmission in a car, it should just do it's job without making itself known.

Well I do believe that vB is easy to use as is MyBB if not easier than vB
